Leno Quintero Hernandez Identified as Driver Killed in Pasco Head-On Collision on Highway 12
WSP Identifies Victims of Pasco Crash on Hwy 12
Pasco, Washington: 28-year-old Leno Quintero Hernandez was the man who died after his van collided head-on with a pickup truck Monday night on Highway 12 in Pasco, the Washington State Patrol said.
The incident happened just before 9 p.m. near Oasis Road.
According to WSP, Quintero Hernandez was driving a 2008 Chevrolet passenger van reportedly carrying field workers eastbound on the highway when he attempted to pass another vehicle.
The van ended up colliding head-on with a westbound 2016 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck. A third vehicle then hit the pickup truck.
Quintero Hernandez died from injuries sustained in the crash.
Three passengers in the van, identified as Gabriel Ernandea, 23, of Venezuela, Bryan Porras Mondada, 19, of Columbia, and Jose Pabon Pabon, whose city of residence was not mentioned, were taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland for their injuries.
A fourth passenger, 18-year-old Andres Porras Quiroga, of Columbia, was hospitalized at Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla.
The driver of the pickup truck, 22-year-old Esmeralda Diaz-Ramos, of Walla Walla, and her toddler passenger, 2-year-old Salvador Suarez, were taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center.
