Xavier Ocegueda Killed in Azusa Crash on Highway 39 near East Fork Road
Azusa, California – The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner has identified the 8-year-old La Puente boy who was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Thursday afternoon in Azusa.
According to California Highway Patrol, the crash happened at around 5:10 p.m. on Highway 39 near Fork Road.
A black SUV and a gray Honda Accord were involved in the crash, but the circumstances surrounding the collision were not immediately determined.
Xavier Ocegueda was pronounced dead at the scene.
Several other people were taken to hospital with unspecified injuries.
CHP blocked the highway for about six hours as they investigated the accident.
An investigation is ongoing.
