2 Injured in Crash Involving Sacramento Fire Department Ambulance
Sacramento, California: Two people were hospitalized after a car crash involving a Sacramento Fire Department ambulance that happened Friday afternoon in the downtown area.
The ambulance was responding to a medical emergency at the jail when, around 3 p.m., it collided with a car at 5th and L Streets.
The two crew members in the ambulance assisted a woman driving the other car to get out of the vehicle after the collision.
One crew member and the woman were taken to the hospital. The crew member sustained minor injuries and the woman suffered serious injuries.
The Sacramento Police Department is investigating the collision.

The auto-pedestrian accident happened around 1:49 a.m. on Haven Avenue near East Airport Drive.
The Fontana man was walking across the street when he was struck by a car.
Woodruff was killed in the accident.
The driver of the involved vehicle stayed at the accident and cooperated with the police.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.

Monterey County, California – Two people were killed in a two-vehicle collision that occurred on Friday afternoon in Monterey County.
The California Highway Patrol says the fatal crash happened around 4:40 p.m. on Highway 68 at Spreckles Boulevard.
A gray Mazda and a white Honda were involved in the collision. The Mazda reportedly rolled over after the crash and one person was killed.
Another person inside the Honda was also pronounced dead at the accident scene.
More details about the collision were not provided.
The accident remains under investigation.

Shafter, California – One person sustained major injuries in a multi-vehicle collision that happened on Friday afternoon in Shafter.
The collision was reported at around 2:30 p.m. on southbound Highway 99 near Lerdo Highway, according to California Highway Patrol.
A red sedan slammed into a center divider and overturned, causing several other vehicles to crash.
Police say one person suffered severe injuries in the crash.
