Adrian Gonzalez and Nephew Killed in Collision at Fresno Intersection
Fresno, California – The Fresno County Coroner’s Office has identified the man and the boy who were killed in a collision that happened at an intersection in near Del Rey on Friday morning.
A around 8 a.m., the California Highway Patrol received reports of a car crash at Bethel and Jefferson avenues.
A Honda was reportedly traveling east on Jefferson and was traveling through the intersection when it was broadsided by a Chevrolet SUV driven by a 45-year-old woman.
Both cars veered off the roadway and into a vineyard after the collision.
27-year-old Adrian Gonzalez and his 4-year-old nephew, Enrique Flores Jr., were in the Honda and were pronounced dead at the scene.
Six other passengers in the Chevy were hospitalized with unspecified injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.

South El Monte, California – Twelve people were injured in a collision involving a Metro bus and a semi-truck at an intersection in South El Monte on Wednesday morning.
According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the crash happened at around 6 a.m. at Rosemead Boulevard and Klingerman Street.
The Metro bus reportedly struck a parked semi-truck in unclear circumstances.
The driver of the bus and eleven passengers were injured.
Seven people had minor injuries, four sustained moderate injuries, and one had life-threatening injuries.
Additional information about the accident was not released.
The crash remains under investigation.
46-Year-Old Melissa Sides Hospitalized after Gerber Car Accident at Rawson Road and Gyle Road
Melissa Sides Seriously Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash in Gerber
Gerber, California: 46-year-old Melissa Sides of Corning was severely injured in a multi-vehicle collision that happened late Wednesday morning at an intersection in Gerber.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident took place around 11:45 a.m. at Rawson Road and Gyle Road.
Investigators said Sides was driving a 2022 Jeep Compass when he failed to stop at a stop sign on Rawson Road and collided with the rear of a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado driven east on Gyle Road by Leng Seng, 61, of Chico.
The Jeep went out of control and collided with the front end of a 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 driven by 49-year-old Roberto Herrera of Kelseyville, which was stopped at the intersection.
After the first impact, the Chevrolet went off the south side of Gyle Road, through a fence, and into a nearby field.
Sides was taken to Mercy Medical Center with major injuries.
Seng and Herrera’s passenger, Marian Lombera, 42, of Modesto, were treated for minor injuries.
An investigation is ongoing.

Los Angeles, California: 39-year-old Andrew Harrison died in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Tuesday morning in downtown Los Angeles, the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner said.
The California Highway Patrol said the collision was reported at around 4:57 a.m. on the Harbor (110) Freeway.
Four vehicles were involved in the accident.
Harrison died in the crash.
The circumstances surrounding the collision were not immediately established.
