Big Rig Driver Dies After Being Run Over by His Own Truck in Oakdale
Oakdale, California: 27-year-old Ismael Carrillo-Garcia died after his own truck ran him over early Wednesday morning at the ConAgra Foods plant in Oakdale, police said.
The incident, which was classified as an industrial accident, happened just after 1 a.m. at the Yosemite Avenue cannery.
The Keyes man was delivering pallets of empty cans when the accident occurred.
According to Oakdale police, Carrillo-Garcia was at a loading dock in the trailer of the big rig pushing the pallets toward the rear so the forklift driver could pick them.
The forklift driver noticed the big rig rolling and alerted Carrillo-Garcia.
The big rig driver got out of the trailer and ran toward the cab in order to stop the semi.
Carrillo-Garcia tripped and fell and was run over by the rig. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Oakdale police and Cal/OSHA are investigating the accident.

Sacramento County, California: Two people were seriously injured in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Thursday afternoon at an intersection in Antelope.
According to the Sacramento Metro Fire District, the accident occurred around 1:50 p.m. at Antelope and Roseville roads.
Three vehicles collided, trapping two occupants in the wreckage.
Firefighters responded to the scene and freed the victims. The patients were taken to the hospital with major injuries.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.

Irvine, California: 65-year-old Kenneth Joseph McLeod died after he collided with a car while riding a motorcycle Wednesday afternoon at an intersection in Irvine.
The accident was reported around 4:50 p.m. at Alton Parkway and Foster.
Investigators said McLeod was riding a motorcycle southbound on Alton when he ran a red light at Foster and crashed into a Tesla turning left from northbound Alton onto westbound Foster.
The Tesla had a green light at the time of the crash.
McLeod died at the scene from the injuries he sustained in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.

Woman on Motorized Wheelchair Hit and Injured by Car in Victorville
Victorville, California: A woman riding a motorized wheelchair was injured when she was hit by a car Thursday morning at an intersection in Victorville.
The accident was reported around 8:48 a.m. at Roy Rogers Drive and Amargosa Road.
Victorville police, firefighters, and AMR responded to the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
A man driving a black Nissan was found at the scene but it was not clear if he was the driver involved in the accident.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
