LA County Identifies Man Killed in Crash on I-5 in Newhall
Newhall, California: The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office identified the man who died Sunday morning in a traffic collision in Newhall as 41-year-old Jose Magana Valencia.
The Los Angeles man died in the crash that happened around 2:41 a.m. on northbound Interstate 5 near Highway 14.
Authorities said Valencia was driving a 1977 Ford when the vehicle became disabled in the northbound lanes of the freeway north of Balboa Boulevard.
Valencia exited his car and got hit by a 1998 Ford. He died from injuries sustained in the crash.
The 36-year-old Inglewood man driving the 1998 Ford stopped and cooperated with investigators.

2 People Seriously Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash in Antelope
Sacramento County, California: Two people were seriously injured in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Thursday afternoon at an intersection in Antelope.
According to the Sacramento Metro Fire District, the accident occurred around 1:50 p.m. at Antelope and Roseville roads.
Three vehicles collided, trapping two occupants in the wreckage.
Firefighters responded to the scene and freed the victims. The patients were taken to the hospital with major injuries.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.
65-Year-Old Kenneth Joseph McLeod Dies in Irvine Crash at Alton Parkway and Foster
Kenneth Joseph McLeod Killed in Irvine Motorcycle Accident
Irvine, California: 65-year-old Kenneth Joseph McLeod died after he collided with a car while riding a motorcycle Wednesday afternoon at an intersection in Irvine.
The accident was reported around 4:50 p.m. at Alton Parkway and Foster.
Investigators said McLeod was riding a motorcycle southbound on Alton when he ran a red light at Foster and crashed into a Tesla turning left from northbound Alton onto westbound Foster.
The Tesla had a green light at the time of the crash.
McLeod died at the scene from the injuries he sustained in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
Woman Hospitalized After Victorville Pedestrian Accident at Roy Rogers Drive and Amargosa Road
Woman on Motorized Wheelchair Hit and Injured by Car in Victorville
Victorville, California: A woman riding a motorized wheelchair was injured when she was hit by a car Thursday morning at an intersection in Victorville.
The accident was reported around 8:48 a.m. at Roy Rogers Drive and Amargosa Road.
Victorville police, firefighters, and AMR responded to the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
A man driving a black Nissan was found at the scene but it was not clear if he was the driver involved in the accident.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
