Several Injured in Multi-Vehicle Collision on Highway 99 in Merced
Merced, California: At least seven people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision that took place Thursday morning in Merced.
According to the Merced City Fire Department, the pileup took place on Highway 99, involving four passenger cars and two commercial vehicles.
The firefighters extricated one person who was trapped inside one of the cars.
At least three people were hospitalized with serious and moderate injuries. Four other patients sustained minor injuries.
About two or three other persons were not hurt.
Authorities are investigating the collision.

Riverside, California – A motorcyclist died after colliding with a car at an intersection in Arlington on Sunday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 5:09 p.m. at Magnolia Avenue and Myers Street.
A motorcyclist reportedly collided with a vehicle on the roadway in unclear circumstances.
The male rider was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.

Oxnard, California: A motorcyclist was hospitalized in critical condition after being involved in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Saturday afternoon at an intersection in Oxnard.
The incident was reported around 4:45 p.m. at Ventura Road and Second Street.
Authorities said a 26-year-old Bakersfield man was driving a 2022 Toyota Tacoma heading northbound on Ventura Road when he failed to yield to three other drivers while making a left turn at the intersection and caused a collision.
A motorcyclist involved in the crash was hospitalized in critical condition.
Officers are investigating drug impairment as a possible contributing factor.

Isleton, California: A motorcyclist was hospitalized after colliding with a car Sunday afternoon near Isleton, the California Highway Patrol said.
The accident was reported just after 2 p.m. on State Route 160 near State Route 12.
A rider on a red motorcycle reportedly attempted to pass a black Ford Focus but hit it.
Solano County firefighters responded to the scene and requested an air ambulance to transport the seriously injured rider to a hospital.
The victim was airlifted to Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center in unknown condition.
Authorities are investigating the accident.
